New discovery to prevent malaria by a low dose of monoclonal Antibody

Malaria is one of the leading causes of illness and death worldwide. A collaborative study from five leading institutes (NIH, MGH, MIT, Harvard University, and UCSD) have discovered a monoclonal Antibody called L9LS that was tested and found to be protective against malaria and safe for humans. Although, the study has been conducted with small samples and still needs to investigate on a bigger sample to assure safety concerns.
